Service Description

Hand Stripping is a specialist grooming technique designed for wire-coated breeds and some other breeds to maintain the coat's natural texture, colour, and condition. Rather than clipping, dead hair is carefully removed by hand to encourage healthy coat growth and preserve the breed's distinctive appearance. This service is tailored to your dog's coat condition and is ideal for maintaining a healthy, well-kept coat throughout the year.

Cancellation Policy

The health, safety and wellbeing of every dog in our care is our top priority. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following policies. **Vaccinations** All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations appropriate for their age and must be fit and well at the time of their appointment. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination where necessary. **Flea & Parasite Treatment** All dogs must be up to date with appropriate flea and parasite prevention/treatment. If live fleas, ticks or other parasites are found during grooming, we will contact you and may stop or alter the groom where necessary. An additional cleaning/disinfection fee may apply due to the risk of infestation and transmission to other dogs. **Matting Policy** Severely matted coats can cause discomfort, skin irritation and, in some cases, injury. Where matting prevents safe brushing or grooming, the coat may need to be clipped short rather than de-matted. We will always prioritise your dog's welfare and will not carry out de-matting if we believe it would cause unnecessary pain or distress. Please understand that removing severe matting can reveal skin irritation, sores or other underlying problems that were not visible beforehand. We cannot accept responsibility for skin conditions or injuries that were caused or concealed by matting. Additional charges may apply for heavily matted or neglected coats due to the extra time and care required. **Health & Behaviour** Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, previous injuries, skin problems or behavioural issues before the appointment. Dogs showing signs of illness, contagious conditions or significant distress may be refused or have their appointment stopped for their own welfare and the safety of others. Dogs must be collected promptly after grooming. We cannot accept responsibility for issues arising from undisclosed medical, behavioural or health conditions. We reserve the right to refuse or stop a grooming service if we believe continuing would compromise the health, safety or welfare of the dog, our staff or other customers' pets. By booking an appointment, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you agree to this policy.
